SERVE SUNDAY | April 27th | DURING WORSHIP GATHERING
On Sunday April 27th, we will NOT have a "normal" church service but instead will spend our usual worship gathering time to pack meals that will be sent to food insecure communities in the Ukraine and Ethiopia. These are both parts of the world that have recently or are currently experiencing full on war an/or conflict on a large scale that's disrupted life, supply chains, and access to food and resources. As James 1:27 says: Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.
What will we be doing? We will serve in teams of 6-8 at various stations to pack meals, seal them, and box them up to be sent overseas. Our goal is to pack between 10,000 - 15,000 meals in just about an hour.
Who can participate? This is for Pre-School and up. The roles and responsibilities are very simple and we are encouraging families to take the opportunity to serve together. We will have Kid's Ministry available for Nursery and we will have capacity for younger pre-school aged kids if you'd rather have them go there during the event.
Are there 2nd Hour LifeGroups afterward? YES! We will have normal 2nd hour lifegroups from 11:15 - 12:15. Full Kid's ministry and student ministry groups will be also available.
Is there anyway for me to help out leading up to the event and/or after? YES! If you've served at a Lifeline Meal back event before, we'd love to have you captain a station area to help those who've never done it. Before and after the event we have set up and tear down that will need to happen. Click the button below if you'd like to serve as a captain or with setup and teardown. Set up will be Saturday Afternoon (approx 3pm) tear down will be immediately following LifeGroup Hour on Sunday.
